Intellectual Property Hall of Shame - Michele Boldrin and David Levine

While this list is by no means complete, it does have some real gems of patents which are totally ridiculous and serve only to stifle rather than stimulate free enterprise. The page is from the website of David K. Levine and Michele Boldrin. Note that both of these gentlemen in addition to being professors are researchers for the Federal Reserve.

Michele Boldrin said "This is a very vibrant, innovative and competitive country. Keep it this way; do not let monopolies of any kind block the way to social and economic progress..." Was he talking about the US or Europe? No, this was from an interview with People Daily (China). It is indeed ironic that at the opening of the 21st century, language (and thus how people think) has been so deconstructed that people who live in "free" countries do not yet even recognize what has happened.
