Creative Commons For Developing Nations
OK. If you live in a developing country, you need to get up to speed on copyright licensing - and Worldchanging.com has reported Creative Commons has a new license.
The news is especially of use to groups and individuals who are interested in Open Content. Apparently, this was recently spoken of at CARDICIS, which Taran went to and reported on here. This makes sense. Open Content to help with cultural diversity. People must be really smart in that region. Most of the time large groups of people don't do very well with coming up with sensible things, but apparently CARDICIS was slightly different.
But, you might ask, what does it really mean? This is a good question. The truth is that it doesn't mean anything unless people actually use the license - which gets back to the whole issue of creating content. Yet it also means that when content is created - the actual content can be shared and used to assist others.
If this world keeps getting more sane, I may go insane...
Grr.
You just had to post this before me, didn't you?
