Word from Infoworld indicates that they are making Cloudscape Open Source. This comes after the acquisition of Informix Corporation, and is interesting since IBM hasn't been marketing Cloudscape after the acquisition. This seems to indicate that they had plans for it all along, or had no plans and weren't sure what to do with it.

With the Apache Software Foundation supposedly being given the source code soon - to be announced at LinuxWorld - it will be interesting to see what license will be used for the project itself.
