Now, in case you're wondering, I'm not doing this because WorldWatch was a boring job! Au contraire, it's been far more interesting than I ever could have imagined. "WorldWatch, a site focusing on how Linux and Open Source are effecting social, economic and political change throughout the world" was a passive mission, though. I think that after doing this for six months I have learned enough to take a more active role.

I will be moving as quickly as possible to somewhere in Europe, as I believe that will be one of the main centers for Linux and FLOSS development and activity during the nest five to ten years. It has also become apparent that I cannot take on the new responsibilities which I have been given without much faster and more reliable connectivity than is available anywhere I'd like to live here in Costa Rica.

I would like to thank all of you readers for participating in this experiment over the past six months. Please keep watching the site, as we will be updating it one more time with a link to the new site when it is up and running. We hope that the combination of the new site, as well as the new format and content of Linux Gazette, will help you keep up with the current news and events, and will encourage and enable you to participate in the world revolution known as Linux and FLOSS.
