[UK] Article in 'The Economist' Likens SCO v. Linux to Scopes Monkey Trial

Article from Economist (English)

The persiflage in this article has many amusing similes: Linux advocates are likened to "commies" and "the pony-tail set", while McBride is pictured as a "fundamentalist" and "buttoned-down type". But, the Economist is a very influential publication, as a Google search will show. We find the attitude rather amazing when you consider that both IBM and H-P have such large investments in Linux and OSS. Like John Dvorak's recent dismissive and misinformed article about the Dragon microprocessor, this piece is mostly a testimony to the denial present in most developed countries about what is really going on with Linux and OSS. It's not bad; it's just too bad, a pity.
