[Germany] Users Don't Want to Pay for Downloads
Submitted by Willy Smith on 8 July, 2003 - 14:26.
Article from Golem.de (German)
Press Release from Mummert Consulting (German)
With the distribution cost approaching zero, it seems hardly surprising that users don't want to pay, even in a culture such as Germany which has recognition of "intellectual property". It will be interesting to continue to monitor how this sentiment changes over time in different cultures. This poll was taken from all age groups. While not mentioned in the report, we would guess that there is a difference in attitude according to age group, and that the percentages will change as the population ages.
