Submitted by Willy Smith on 23 June, 2003 - 14:24.

The conference will span two days, and will feature mostly presentations by different members of the Open Source community in France. On the second day, there will be a presumably interesting round-table discussion, led by Jean-Marc Berliouz of the Gartner Group, on the subject of Microsoft's response to Open Source. In typical French style, the meals will be sumptuous and held in beautiful surroundings, including a several boats.
The mayor has written a welcome letter outlining the goals of the meeting as well as describing the Free Software project currently underway, to be shared by other municipalities. The sponsors include Microsoft, IBM, and Groupe Bull.
