Dell Engineers Add Website for Linux Support
Submitted by Willy Smith on 8 February, 2004 - 05:22.
The engineers at Dell have created a website to support Linux. Dell officially supports Red Hat Linux, but the site also has support for other distributions: SuSE, Debian, and Slackware. There are also mailing lists, White Papers, RAID and storage, and projects. There's a What's New blog. All this gives Dell owners a great new online resource for support, and should help to popularize Linux even more.
Redhat 7.2 and DVMT onboard video
I am looking for help with getting a new Dell Optiplex Gx270 with Redhat Linux 7.2 running on it to run an Xserver using the onboard Intel DVMT video. Is this a forum on which I can get that kind of help? I hope so. Please let me know if help can be found and I will gladly supply any further information necessary.
Thank you!
Randy
